Course description

Develop a referral path and share a platform for a care pathway discussion

Target Audience

Team with oncologist and experienced implanters willing to use TDD for patient with cancer pain, ideally from the same centre or network:

• Medical oncologist
• Pain therapist (implanters with basic TDD experience that wish to approach cancer patients)
• Palliative therapist

Learning objectives

At the end of this training participants will be able to have developed a better understanding of:

• The treatment algorithm (oncologist)
• Patient selection and how to present the therapy to the patient
• How to treat specific class of patient and cancer
• Trialling implantation methods depending on cancer type
• Troubleshooting in over and undergoes (practical cases)
• Patient follow-up including refill and drug management
